Best Porridge in Penang

One do not have to travel many KM away from George Town braving the bridge traffic to the Famous Cheng Kee Restaurant in Nibong Tebal, Penang for a good bowl of porridge now. What surprising is that is that one of the best porridge is available in the KOMTAR, Prangin Mall in a humble coffeeshop and does not cost you a leg and an arm for it.

Right in the middle of Prangin Mall, at the 3^rd floor of the building, there is this grouping of 3 coffee shops, and the one you seek goes with the Name of Hai Lee. You will find a good verity of Penang Hawker food here though at a slightly higher price due to the shop rental. Fairly Clean.

There are three dishes here that in my humble opinion are worth the time for you to come in and try out.

Laksa – one of the better laksa in town

Chicken Rice – Yummy

And of course the Porridge. My number 3 daughter finish almost ½ a bowl by her self. Does not look like much in the photo, but the taste is there.
