Automax NanoTech Fuel Enhancer 2nd Post

Well, I have tried using Automax NanoTech Fuel Enhancer for the past 3 month, and the result is not so good, It could be that My driving style does not suit this product.

After 10 Tank full, with the NanoTech. the best result was a 6.7lt per 100km, or 14.8km per lt of fuel use (around 13 cents per km), The worst was a 8.3lt per 100km, All this work out to a average of 7.3lt per 100km

Without the Nano Tech, The Alza average a 7.4lt, not much difference ....

AUTOMAX NanoTech Fuel Enhancer

The first tank full using AUTOMAX NanoTech Fuel Enhancer, the average fuel consumption for My Alza (auto - stock standard) is a encouraging 6.7lt per 100km.

It’s still very early for any proper result, (just one tankfull) however I would like to point out a few things first

  • · Best Fuel Consumption Achieve so far was a 6.8lt per 100 km just for one tankfull, most of the time the Alza will give me around 7lt+ per 100km
  • · Average Fuel Consumption is 7.4lt per 100 km (last 10 refueling)

So if base upon this, Fuel Consumption with the NanoTech as compared

  • · Against best achieve using normal fuel, Savings of 1.5%
  • · Against Average Fuel Consumption using normal fuel, Saving of 9.45%

So Lets see if this trend continue, the Average Fuel Consumption (using the NanoTech) after a few refueling.

Alza, Review of the Part time MPV

Alza, Review of the Part time MPV

After 4 months of Usage, My Likes and Dislikes

(Alza, Auto, Premium Model, 1.5lt Stock Standard without any modifications)

Disclaimer: Please Note, this are just my opinions base upon my taste and driving methods, results may differ from Person to Person, driving methods and the vehicles Specs

My Conclusion

  • · Great if you occasionally required a Vehicle that can seat more then 5 but less then 8 or require “more” space for “extra” luggage, I predict we will see a lot of Alza at the Pasar Malams in the future.
  • · Good drive, Smooth, will get you to your destination in good time but it is not for spirited driving
  • · Economical “if you treat it right”
  • · Value for money in the “current” Tax situation
  • · Quite Up to Date Technology if you compare with similar vehicles

The Package

The Car Comes with

  • · 3 time “Free Labour” for Service, 1K, 5K and 10K
  • · Comes With Smart Assists Auto Emergency for one Year

Fuel Consumption

7.4lt per 100km Average

  • · Auto Transmission
  • · After 4 Month
  • · 12 refills of Esso Ron 95
  • · Country Side Driving 70%, Town 20%, Highway 10%
  • · 80% Driver only
  • · Speed 60 to 80 kmph, touching 110kmph on highway

In comparison

My 11 Year Old Wira (modified with various fuel savers) usually get me 8.0lt per 100km along the same routes and driving style

Driving

  • · Driving Position Suite Me, “High, Up right” – May not suite some drivers
  • · Smooth, Stately
  • · So far on one uphill, while the car slow down, it did not struggle to “Climb” up
  • · Spirited Driving will disappoint you with this car/mpv.

Things that we may want to know before Purchasing

Car Key

· There is a key number plate.

· If one key is lost, the spare key with the key number plate is required to make the new car key only at Perodua Service Center. That will cost you Below RM 500 currently

· Up to 4 key can be made for one Car

· If Making a normal spare key, (at the neighborhood key store) the key can only be use to open the door, it cannot start the engine.

CD Player – Premium Model

· Can support “folders” for usb unlike some reports

· Can Play Music Random within a Folder or All Folders within the USB

General

· This car does not have cigarette ash compartment.

· The Power Plug provided is not a cigarette lighter.

· The Car is equip with Front Personal Lights, bright enough to read maps.

· Your Spare Tyre is under the Car and it’s not a “full” size tyre, It’s just for you to change your puncture tyre and look for a tyre shop.

Likes

  • · Good Fuel Economy “if you treat the car right”
  • · SC have “upgrades” for your car, so you can upgrade when your pocket get too heavy.
  • · Very bright lights “even without using the fog lamps” & does not shine in to oncoming drivers eyes.
  • · Stately Drive – “suites me, may not suite others”
  • · Feel well built in general, but at time when closing door may have a “hollow” sound.
  • - Decent In Car Entertainment

·

Dislikes / Where I feel it can be improved

  • · The remote – when press only visual indication, not audio, but you can purchase a buzzer at the SC
  • · The engine release latch feel flimsy
  • · The Luggage compartment hood brace, “looks” too thin
  • · No luggage cover to “Hide” your barang barang
  • · The “Smart Assists” Provided – Feel there is just too many terms and conditions attach in order to get service “may be more of a push our service type of membership”
Overall at the current moment I feel I have made a good "Buy" ! Now it just the Maintenance Cost that needs looking into.

The 5000km Service for Alza

The 5000km Service for Alza

The 2nd Service or 5K Km service for My Alza was done earlier as it was already 3 months from the first service. The Damage is RM96.65, for changing the Engine Oil, the Oil Filter, Drain Plug and the Windshield Shampoo.

Service at the Nibong Tebal Perodua (Franchise) Service Center at Nibong Tebal was fast. I was even met at the door! (this is not the first time either as when I when there to book my service slot I was also greeted at the door) And the servicing was done within 45 min, even though there were a number of cars there.

The few minor complains I had were more a less attended to professionally by the foreman, however I am disappointed in a few things.

· If there is any problems with the In Car entertainment ie the CD/Radio Set, they have to remove the entire set and send it down to KL, leaving me with a nice big hole in the dashboard, till it get back which may take a few weeks, the good news is that the CD/Radio set has a 3 years warranty.

· This SC it seems still do not have the full set of optional accessories – so looks like I have to head to another SC one that is operated by Perodua If I want install the automatic headlamp, or even to see what other accessories there is. Of course I do understand that a Franchise SC would not have the full optional accessories stock, but they should have info on this.

So far My experience with the Alza and Perodua Service Center has show that it is possible for good and fast service if we put our mind into it.

Alza Fuel Compsumtion after 3 plus Month of use (4K Plus Km use)

My Alza is already 4 months old

Its has been 4 months , How time flies .... and have pick up a few scratches here and there. snob snob!

My Alza have clock 4400km and its has been 3 month from the 1st service. So in a few days I will have to send my Alza to the Service Center. This time with 2 things they have to look into.

  • When ever i step on the break, i hear a tiny click sound from the pedal
  • the MP3 from time to time will reset back to the first song in the first folder

Other then that, the Perodua Alza have been kind to me. So far no problems, Touch wood ....

Well after all this while the Fuel Consumption is averaging at 7.4lts per 100km for this stock standard Alza after 11 data points.

All this time I have been using Esso, either at Tg Bungah, Nibong Tebal, and the Station at the Juru Rest Stop, cruising speed is around 60km ph to 80 kmph when possible, with once or twice hitting 1110kmph.

  • As mention before this fuel consumption is much better then my former car the Proton Wira 1.3lt (11years old) which has been modified with , a Voltage Regulator , Magnetic Fuel Saver, a Compressor which give me around 8lt per 100km, and strangely occasionally once ever 3 months can hit 6.8lt per 100km for just one tankfull.
Now is time for my 5000km service, and after this in my quest for lower fuel consumption I intend to try out a Fuel Saver, Additive by the Name of AUTOMAX NanoTech Fuel Enhancer distributed by Cosway which claim I can save as high as 28%, A bottle cost RM29.90 (member price) which they claim can treat 600lt of petrol. So lets see, that will be around 20 refills for me.

I was actually thinking of getting a Plug in Voltage Regulator, But I will hold that back for now, this item from a Car Accessories Shop will cost around RM300, On the internet shop they are selling it from RM90.

Oh! I had a chance to use the Alza going up a steep hill, well all i can say is the car manage to get up the hill but it slowed down to around 3okmph even with me 1. using the low gear, 2, stepping on the paddle. But then it still behave much better then my old wira at that particular location.

Further While I have plan to Go to Cameron Highlands and a Trip to KL, I have to see when this trip may materialize.

Alza First Month Fuel Consumption

My Alza First Month Fuel Consumption

I have utilize My Alza for one month and have chalk up 1700km so far. I have to say that I am well satisfied with the Fuel Consumption especially when compared with my old wira. A 1.5lt Auto, MPV that gives me the consumption of a 1.3lt Manual Sedan car!

So far with 5 fuel data points, in General the Fuel Consumption seems to be pointing at an average use of around 7lts plus per 100 km for my own particular mix of country / highway / city use.

That is if you use the car gently, and do not exceed speed of 80km in town / country use and 110km in Highway use, 230kpsi Tyre pressure, No Modifications ……

Comments :

The High Consumption

· The first tank seem to be high (may not too accurate) at 9.7lt per km, or is it due to the running in of the Engine?

· The 4th tank seem to be high also (just after the 1000km service) at 8.9lt per km

(this figures are base upon Manual calculation)

The Normal consumption

· 7.2lt to 7.4lt per 100km, around RM0.14 per Km at the current fuel price

Fuel Computer

· The reading seem to be off, for the 3rd and way off for the 4th Tank full, however is spot on for the 5th Tank Full.

It’s still to new for me to come to any conclusions; however the trend does look promising.
