It is amusing! Isn’t it?
once the governments start sorting things out and they realize that the maid get paid less is because of the maid “capability”, and having a ban actually hurts them self more. Also where else can the “maids” get exposure & training to get higher wages in other countries?
That is not the amusing part. What amusing?
Well we are paying the maids more then what we are paying local workers. Most workers only earn RM500 or so a month, for 48 hours works a week, no food and lodging provided, limited medical. Amusing isn’t it, It’s high time to do some thing on this seriously.
- Filipino Maids get RM800 to RM1000 a month with a day off in a week, full board and lodging, cloths and personal items, doctor fees, dental fees, medical check up etc.
- Indonesian Maids is to get RM600 a month with a day off in a week, full board and lodging, cloths and personal items, doctor fees, dental fees, medical check up etc.
