Penang State government is planning for a Tiger Park in the 100 acres Relau Community Park, according to a Bernama Report which I read at http://www.bernama.com.my/bernama/state_news/news.php?id=396388&cat=nt.
The State will consult with NGO's and the local community before tendering out this project. This could be the frist Malaysian Tiger Park, according to the report which quoted Mr Lim Guan Eng, Penang Chief Minister who announce this at the park.
Well and good, I do hope this project will go through with the blessing of Ngo's and the local community. Take a look at Taiping Zoo, Its attracting lots of visitors, especially the Night Safari. The Tourism Industry in Penang will benefit if this project go through.
