One of the Main highlights in Penang for sea and beach lovers is the Batu Ferringi Beach. It houses several renown tourist hotels and back packers havens , and it all started to be well known in the 1970’s with the Rasa Sayang Hotel, the first 5 star establishment in Batu Feringgi Beach Penang.
Being the first gave Rasa Sayang Hotel numerous advantages, the best is that it could select the best stretch of beach to build the hotel. For those who do not have the budget to stay at the Newly Refurbish Renamed Shangri la Rasa Sayang Resort, to enjoy the beach there, You can get to the beach via the Public Access, one is between the Casuarina Hotel and the Lone Pine Hotel, the other is near Merit Seri Sayang Apartments .
Most people will take the one in between the two hotels, which has souvenirs shops on the right and left, like I did early this Sunday morning. The Beach was quite with just a few people, mainly tourist running around. With the Traders and Beach Boys still setting up their wares, like water scooters, and Hotel guest and tourist still having their breakfast. 
Scene of Traditional fishing boats floating anchored, with tourist walking about the sandy beach, this the best time and best area of the Batu Ferringhi Beach.
