GPS Coordinates: N 05.10.050 E 100.28.607

Nibong Tebal is The Southmost town in Penang Mainland, Its population is mainly Chinese with a sizeable population of Indians as well, As such there are many places for Antique Indian Cuisine here, such as the Tosai, at the Railway Station and this Restaurant call NT Kari House.

What special here is it’s Achar, a Very Spicy Pickle of Lime and other Stuffs, that is why I come for lunch here, as other than that it the usual Indian food that you will find here.

I stop by here for lunch, (actually I was going to the Nibong Tebal Koey Teow Th’ng, but that is close on Monday) and purchase a packet of it to consume back home for just RM2.50.

The prices for food here are pretty reasonable, I had Curry Fish, Sambal Ikan Belis, Vegetable, and of cause the achar with rice and was charge RM3.50, While my friend had Chicken, Tauhu Sambal, vegetable and the achar with the rice for RM4.50. Much Much affordable then the Neighbouring Nasi Kandar Shops, and it’s good.

At NT Kari House, you can also get the usual Roti Canai and Fried Mamak Mee. It’s is open for lunch, and it located near Nibong Tebal Hindu Temple.

Location

After entering the Town of Nibong Tebal, Passing Maybank on your right, turn left at the T Junction toward your left, go about 100meter, you will see a Hindu temple on your left, there is a lane just before the temple, turn in, go forward and turn left at the T Junction, the Restaurant is on your left.
