Aquarium 2

Aquarium 2

With the Extra Cash in hand, we headed for the Fish Shop for more equipment, artificial plants, a gravel filter, a scrub, a fish net, a UV light, and an Aquarium Hood with light.

Once we reach the office, we started from scratch again. We empty out the tank, after transferring all the Fishes, into a pail.

We place the gravel filter (Bottom filter) after filling the gravel filter with sponge, at the bottom, using 3 of the panels (as it’s a 3 ft tank), place the water uplift tubes in place, then added in sand (to act as a filter as well), pebbles, corals, decorations, artificial plants, and filled up the Tank with Filtered Water. (with the appropriate amount of anti chlorine)

We place the hood/cover, reconnect the wet dry filter, connect the air pump to the (provided) bubble pipes in the water uplift tube (gravel Filter) and run the tank empty for 4 hours, then we place a guppy in the tank for 24hrs to test it out, as well as to clear the murky water. Sand will make the water murky. We held back installing the UV Light for now as we need to grow bacteria / and some algae in the Tank.

We are now waiting for the 24 hours period b4 proceeding with the other fishes.
