Alza, Day 2 (fuel efficient drive on highway)

Alza, Day 2 (fuel efficient drive on highway)

Trip to Penang AAM office Jalan Sg Pinang from home (approx 100km)

After resetting the Fuel Computer, I let my house and hit the PLUS highway, to Penang via the Bridge, Traffic was fairly light, and by the time I turn off the newly named Dr Lim Highway, in to Jalan Sg Pinang, is was showing 5.5lt per 100km (18km per lt) Driving with an average of around 80kmph.

While coming back along Jalan Sg Pinang, due to the very heavy traffic the fuel computer rose to 6lt per 100km but once back on the highway it slowly decline to 5.7lt per 100km by the time I got back home. This work out to 17.54km per lt, with speed up to 100kmph, but averaging around 75kmph, 90% highway in moderate traffic, 8% federal & state road (again moderate traffic) and 2% heavy traffic town road, (crawling)

Again if the Fuel Computer is reading correctly its very good. Further as a check on the speedometer, the speedo meter reading vs my smart phone GPS, the difference is around - 5kmph.
