“Fantasy” Island of Malaysia

A Travel agent friend of mine ask me to accompany him and play photographer to a resort in Langkawi, I ask him which one, he then said “a Private Island Resort”, I said “ there is no private island in Langkawi “. He laugh and said “follow me, you will love it there”.

Well I stand corrected, there is a Private Island Resort in Malaysia and it is Rebak Island Resort, own by the Taj International and it is own 390 acres Private Island, 80 plus room and suites with 5 star facilities and a marina. A Fantasy Island in Malaysia so to speak, where you arrive by the private hotel speed boat. For those in their 40’s you might remember the TV Fantasy Island.

Other facilities in the hotel include A Free Form swimming pool right at the beach........ Why would anyone want to use the pool? That is one part I do not understand, the beach and the sea here is lovely, unspoilt, why jump in to the pool? Further as I said there is no beach boys to hassle you.

There is a Indian Restaurant as well as the Coffee House, here you will get to indulge yourself with 5 star cuisine found in only in International Hotels ........

Unfortunately my trip was just only a day trip, just a few hours. I would love to overnight there with my wife for around a week or so. Must get my boss to agree to our company retreat here!
